Spring

This is one of my favor designs that I created at Ice. I like to add a little bit flavor of fashion to my design, especially the color trend. It brings a sense of fashion to the piece.
In this piece, we are promoting Spring Jewelry as you can see. I chose a Green Amethyst pendant as hero, because it works well with the theme, the colors and it is popular these days.
You can go to diamon.com if you like this pendant.

The Jewel at red carpet

As I talked about Green yesterday, surprisingly, there are a couple of stars wearing beautiful green shades of jewelry. One of them is Angelina Jolie who was wearing a pair of emerald earrings with a simple black gown. It is a very daring contrast, and yet has a classical glamour.

Green

Green seems to have been a hot topic for a long time and for all fields. I know I am being silly about it. However, my new project has something to do with green, the jade.

I am currently working on new designs for The Jade World, a company that is based in Vancouver, BC Canada, and is specialized in Jade. Recently they opened their first retail store, called OhKuol carring local artists' works and a great collection of semi-precious stone jewelry.

When it comes to Jade, people always thinks that the object is very oriental and conservative. My challenge is how to bring new life to Jade design and to come out something more contemporary and modern. It's challenging.

There are different shades of green from gem stones. Grass green, Peridot. Green Amethyst is more like light grayish green vs Lemon Quartz is sweet yellowish green. The others are Green Tourmaline, Green Onyx, Green Agate, Green Aquamarine, and Jade, etc. In Spring 2009, there are some shades of green are use beautifully in the design, like Super Lemon(Pantone 14-0754), Vibrant Green(Pantone 16-6339), Lucite Green(Pantone 14-5714), and the last Dark Citron(Pantone 16-0435).

So why not go for Greens for change?

Year of Ox

Every year, I create special greetings for the events. Here is for 2009 Chinese New Year. It's year of ox. Red is always the color for New Year, especially for Chinese. It is no difference for Taiwanese as well. It's cheerful, energetic, and excited. In spite of economic situation, I hope it will be a good year for family and friends to re-connect to one another. The simple connection will bring back the natural of humility.
